This is another basic dish and it’s very simple to cook. The main ingredients are meat,garlic, chilies and basil. You can use chicken, beef or even seafood instead of pork. The basil and chilies made this dish hotter. Some people add vegetables like long beans, babycorn, or cauliflower. When I cook Pad Gaprow I mostly fried egg and eat together it with Pad Gaprow. I don’t like to eat pork so I usually use chicken or seafood together with baby corn, carrot or straw mushrooms. Ingredients:
300 grams minced pork
1 cup basil leaves
6 red chilies
4 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon thin soy sauce
1tablespoon oyster sauce
1tablespoon fish sauce
½ teaspoon sugar
3tablespoons vegetable oil
Preparation:
1. Wash red chilies and basil leaves.
2. Crush red chilies and garlic in the mortar.
Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat the wok on a medium heat then pour oil into a wok. Add crushed red peppers and garlic stir-fry until the garlic turns golden brown.
2. Add minced pork, continue stir-frying for few minutes.
3. Season with thin soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar, stir and add basil leaves and stir-fry it for 1 minute.
4. Remove it from the heat and transfer into the plate. Serve with rice.
